“From the get-go, it was obvious that Generate take their mission of improving the lives of people with learning disabilities very seriously. They went above and beyond to involve people with learning disabilities in every step of the process. It is this commitment to their core values that makes them stand out from the rest.”

Trainings
We create trainings on Learning Disabilities bespoke to your needs. Our trainings are powerful learning tools that touch people and stay with them.
Trainings are audited and co-delivered by a trainer with a learning disability. They bring their own experience and shed a light on what it is to live with a disability or as a neurodiverse person.
We have delivered trainings to health and social care providers (GP surgeries, midwifes, hospitals …).

Easy read translation
We are passionate about making health information easy to understand and offer an easy read translation service.
Our research has found that for people with a learning disability the biggest barrier to getting good health care is a lack of easy to understand health information.
We have created information on a range of topics, including leaflets on a variety of health conditions for NHS England and other organisations.
We work closely with colleagues with disability and neurodiverse colleagues who advise on all aspects of the content, layout, accessibility of your information, and then test the final product.

Accessible video content
Communication in accessible format can also be delivered via films.
To make health information easy to understand, to explain invasive procedures or screening that can be considered frightening, short films are a useful communication tool. Interviews with peers who explain what you can expect in the procedure, the importance of attendance and what happens next are great ways of making health information more accessible.
We collaborate with colleagues with disability and neurodiversity who advise on all aspects of the content, layout, accessibility of information and review the final product.
We have created videos on a range of topics for NHS England.
